Sharing Your Hero: A Guide to Grim Dawn Save Files Sharing your character saves in

If you install a local save but have Steam Cloud enabled, the game might ignore the new file. You may need to temporarily disable Steam Cloud in the Grim Dawn options to "force" the game to see local files. Hardcore vs. Softcore:

Grim Dawn characters are stored locally. Sharing them usually involves zipping large folders, explaining folder paths to non-technical users, and risking cloud sync conflicts (like OneDrive/Steam Cloud fighting over the file lock).

You cannot share what you cannot find. Grim Dawn uses two different save locations depending on your Cloud Save settings.
