V8 fully embraced the modern acoustic standards (IEC 61672). It introduced (Zero weighting, flat from 10Hz to 20kHz) as the default for SPL measurements, alongside the classic A and C weighting. It also supports Leq (Equivalent continuous sound level) and statistical levels (L10, L90, etc.), making it viable for environmental noise monitoring.
