The movie takes place four years after the events of the second film. Dr. Alan Grant (Sam Neill) is tricked into participating in a wealthy couple's vacation to Isla Sorna, the second island created by InGen, the company that developed the original Jurassic Park. Upon arrival, they discover that the island is inhabited by a variety of genetically modified dinosaurs, including the deadly Spinosaurus.
