For 2021 standards, the UI was actually pretty clean. A lot of hubs from that era were cluttered messes with clashing colors, but Neko Hub R36 went for a more minimal, darker aesthetic. It was easy to navigate, the tabs were labeled correctly, and it didn’t take up half your screen. It had that distinctive "cat girl" branding which made it recognizable, even if it was a bit generic.
