Click Start, type cmd , right-click → Run as Administrator.

When an upgrade fails and the application is left in a "broken" state that prevents it from being reinstalled or removed. forticlient fcremove.exe
Open Task Manager and end any FortiClient.exe , FortiTray.exe , FortiProxy.exe , or fcagent.exe processes. Click Start, type cmd , right-click → Run as Administrator
After a successful fcremove.exe run, the system is clean for a fresh install. forticlient fcremove.exe
If any remain, you can run fcremove.exe again in normal mode.
