This is a known PAL emulation issue. Go to Config > Audio > set Synchronization Mode to "TimeStretch" and Async Mix to 5ms.
Since the PAL version is multi-language, if the game doesn't start in Spanish by default:
The emulator uses a system where it intercepts the hash (unique identifier) of a texture being loaded into memory. If the emulator finds a matching file in the "textures" folder, it loads that file instead of the one from the ISO.
